Jaw Coupling

Jaw couplings are a type of flexible coupling used to connect two shafts and transmit torque between them. They are commonly used in industrial machinery and equipment, such as pumps, compressors, and generators. The jaw coupling consists of two metal hubs, each with two jaws or prongs. The hubs are connected by an elastomeric insert, which absorbs shock and vibration while transmitting torque between the two shafts. The elastomeric insert is typically made of a material such as urethane or rubber, and its flexibility allows it to compensate for some degree of misalignment between the two shafts. Jaw couplings are available in a range of sizes and configurations to suit different applications and requirements. They can be used in both horizontal and vertical orientations, and they can be found in various bore sizes and keyway configurations to fit different shaft sizes and shapes
